Multicultural Children’s Book Day Celebrates 10 Years of Diverse Books for Kids

Now more than ever, Multicultural Children’s Book Day needs your help to promote diverse children’s books & get them into the hands of the children that need them.

This amazing non-profit initiative has been dedicated to shining the spotlight on diverse book for kids and teens for a whopping TEN YEARS. And in that decade, this innovative and hard-working team has moved mountains.

But there is still much work to be done to make sure books with multicultural and diverse themes are getting into the hands of young readers. Whether its via their website that is bursting with free downloadable booklists and resources, their Free Diverse Books for Classrooms Project, or supplying hundreds of book reviewers with a diverse book to share on social media, this team works 365 days a year to get books into the right hands.

Now, as their 2023 holiday approaches, they want YOU to join the celebration!

There are three easy ways to get involved:

Book lovers, readers, and educators! If you haven’t looked at the #ReadYourWorld Author Sponsors for Multicultural Children’s Book Day 2023, OR the Medallion Level Sponsors for MCBD 2023, please do! All of these amazing authors and publishers are dedicated to producing books that let young readers “see themselves” in the pages of the books they read.
