This year, in much of March, myself and my family were blessed with the privileged to be able to spend some time in Paris over Spring-break. Our family enjoyed much walking, sightseeing, visiting family, sitting in cafes, and listening to music. BUT, the highlight of my trip was finally getting to meet someone who I have worked closely with for a year and a half. Someone who has worked with me on projects and book-creating adventures, a very special person who I had never met in person.
Let me introduce you to the amazingly talented Graphic Designer, Roscoe Welply. Like everyone else at Audrey Press, Roscoe and I have always worked virtually together via email and Skype, but this was our first time meeting face-to-face and what a wonderful treat it was!
Over a long lunch at Giovanni\’s, one of my families favorite neighborhood restaurants, Roscoe and I got to sit down and finally have a great discussion about many things. We also made a quick call to our editor ( and mutual friend) Bernadette Emerson because we were missing her and wishing she was with us.
Later that evening , we gathered our families and my dear friend Emily together to have a celebration dinner at Verjus, a beautiful little restaurant in the Palais Royal section of Paris.
4 hours later we had eaten a 7 -course meal, and that meal will rate up there with one of The.Best.Meals.Of.My.Life.
Omi and Emily having a toast with their favorite fruit juice.
The hours flew by so quickly, and during those hours friendships and memories were made. Along with it was the contentment that Audrey Press had passed it\’s one year anniversary mark with much to celebrate.
Here\’s wishing us many celebrations to come. 🙂
Until next time here\’s wishing you many happy and creative moments with family and friends.
