Reading is important. Honoring our Earth is critical. Here’s an amazing idea for how to combine the two!
As humans, it’s really, really up to us to change our ways to reverse the environmental issues that are plaguing our planet.
“We can’t save the world by playing by the rules, because the rules have to be changed. Everything needs to change – and it has to start today.”~Greta Thunberg
One of many ways to do this is to change how we live. Making more mindful choices to consume less, waste less, and reduce our carbon footprint.
Sissy Goes Tiny is a book about learning about downsizing, repurposing, how “stuff is just stuff,” and the innovative way of living “Tiny.”
Authors B.A. Norrgard (a tiny house dweller) and Becky Flansburg (project manager for Multicultural Children’s Book Day) have woven together an extraordinary story about one unique family’s choice to live Tiny and do More with Less—a perfect way to celebrate Earth Hour 2020.
Earth Hour is a worldwide movement organized by the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF). This movement’s mission is to raise awareness for climate change, the rapid loss of biodiversity, and nature.
The event is held annually, and it’s a time when people of all ages, communities, organizations, and businesses can “reduce their carbon footprint” in the easiest of ways; by turning off non-essential electric lights, for one hour, (8:30 to 9:30 pm) on March 28, 2020.
“Turn off the lights, and turn on the stars!” Earth Hour 2020.
Do it because, well….because it’s good for our Earth! Earth Hour 2020 will be recognized on March 28, from 8:30 pm to 9:30 pm.
Audrey Press would like to encourage everyone to read and share Sissy Goes Tiny during Earth Hour 2020 has a commitment to our environment and as a way to share a unique lifestyle that inspires us all to value experiences over possessions.
So on March 28, break out the candles and the books and have some earth-conscious family reading time!
